In 1993, Count Philippe Pozzi do Borgo, on the heels of his wife's being diagnosed with a terminal illess, suffered a paragliding accident that left him a quadriplegic. Forty-two years old, trapped inside his luxurious Paris town house, he was an outcast for hte first time in his life. Driss, an unemployed Senegalese immigrant who had been an outcast for his entire existence, would become Philippe's unlikely caretaker.
