Presented in association with BHP and the Russiky Mir Foundation, the RUSSIAN RESURRECTION FILM FESTIVAL returns to Sydney in 2010, presenting a wonderfully diverse selection of box office hits and award winning new releases, from epic dramas, warm romantic comedies, to political satires. 

This year to mark the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII, the festival will also present an in-depth look into classic Russian war films - films that have proven to fascinate Australian audiences for their unique perspective on world history. The comprehensive retrospective will feature Cannes Film Festival Palm d’Or winner The Cranes Are Flying (1957), the newly remastered version of Bondarchuk’s 1975 classic They Fought The Motherland andIvan’s Childhood (1962), the first feature film from multiple award winning director Andre Tarkovsky, among many others.
