Russian Resurrection Film Festival 2012
Festival Dates: 30 August, 2012 - 12 September, 2012
Participating Cinemas: Chauvel Cinema

The ninth Russian Resurrection Film Festival, the largest festival of Russian Cinema outside of Russia today, returns to screen at Chauvel Cinema this September.

The beauty of Russian cinema is the broad range of quality films across different genres. The festival celebrates the revival of Russian cinema and this year’s program will include a variety of new dramas, animations, comedies, arthouse cinema, award winning classics and possibly Russia’s first ever zombie film. Festival tradition dictates a retrospective and, this year to mark the bicentenary of the 1812 defeat of Napoleon, there are three stunning dramas and comedies. Visiting actors and directors, Q&As and some of the best ever celebratory gala parties in each city are just some of the highlights for this vibrant celebration of Ruski culture.

Screening at Chauvel Cinema from 30 August - 12 September 2012.
