STARRY STARRY NIGHT follows a lonely girl who keeps to herself. She can’t share her thoughts with anyone, until the day she meets a boy as isolated and lonely as her. They escape together from home to look for the missing part of themselves.
Based on the best-selling illustrated book by Taiwan artist Jimmy Liao, the film refers to many famous portraits and landscapes as a major theme of the film; as well as incorporating CGI illustrations that represent the girl’s imagination which bring a nice, youthful, almost “Peter Pan” feel.
