Duration: 100 mins
Rating: MA15+ - Strong themes, violence and coarse language
Release Date: 9 September, 2010

The suspense-filled thriller from up-and-coming director J Blakeson.

Two men (Martin Compston and Eddie Marsan- Me and Orson Welles) fortify a nondescript British apartment so it can serve as a prison, with the intention of kidnapping a young woman (Gemma Arterton) and holding her for ransom. What first appears to be a foolproof plan, turns into a web of complex lies and underlying motive packed with edge-of-your-seat moments from beginning to end. Character-centric and chilling, the film succeeds in delivering an engrossing kidnap thriller with oomph (the occasional use of black humour throughout provides welcome relief from the more intense scenes), superbly brought together by notable performances from the film’s three stars.
