Sustainable Rebuild and Expansion Confirmed for Palace Byron Bay Cinema in 2016
The temporary closure of Palace Byron Bay is for the addition of six more auditoria, making a total of nine screens, which will give our customers the opportunity to enjoy an even wider range of independent and mainstream films, as well as continuing the cinema’s alternate content program of theatre, opera, ballet, concerts and the ever popular international film festivals.
All existing Byron Bay cinema staff will be considered for roles once the cinema reopens and with the expansion comes the requirement for new positions, creating employment opportunities for the shire. The timetable for reopening will be shared with the community as soon as plans are available and Palace Cinemas look forward to offering our patrons a second-to-none entertainment and hospitality experience at the home of quality cinema in Byron Shire.
We understand that the upgrades may inconvenience our members and as we are dedicated to offering a premium cinematic experience we will offer all Movie Club members and extension on their membership when the cinema re-opens.
During the closure Palace Movie Club Memberships are still be active at all Palace Cinemas nationally.
Some of the exciting changes to look forward to:
Nine fantastic new auditoria
Broader choice of films
Enhanced in-cinema comfort with luxury seating
Premium Palace Bar and foyer to enrich hospitality experience
International film festivals, screening from the best of Italy, Spain, France, Britain, Germany and Scandinavia.
