Palace Cinemas is thrilled to be the exclusive host of the 2020 Persian Film Festival, from December 3 – December 6. Through film screenings, forums, masterclasses and special events, the Festival highlights the richness of Iranian cinema and Persian-speaking filmmakers from around the globe.
To kick off the festival you’re invited to our Opening Night screening of Son-Mother. In her brilliant feature debut, Mahnaz Mohammadi depicts the heartbreaking relationship of a mother and son, with mum Leila working tirelessly at a failing factory in sanctions-gripped Iran while trying to keep her family together. Join us for the Opening Night red carpet ceremony and screening of a masterly drama, with a screenplay by Mohammad Rasoulof.
