This tender dramatic comedy from Paolo Genovese (Perfect Strangers IFF16) tells the poignant and passionate love story of Anna (the sublime Jasmine Trinca, The Goddess of Fortune IFF20) and Marco (Alessandro Borghi, Suburra: Blood on Rome). Anna is a cartoonist with an impulsive and nonconformist personality and Marco is a physics teacher convinced that every phenomenon has its own explanation. Yet what keeps them together is an unknown that no formula can reveal or explain.
Following the young couple who fall in love and struggle to keep their relationship alive through tenderness and fights, lies and emotions, secrets and cheatings, it seems that their superpower is finding the strength to keep their relationship together for over a decade.
Based on the eponymous novel written by Genovese himself and featuring a perfectly aligned soundtrack, Superheroes is a touching drama about couples and the effect of time on their relationshipst.
