In this vibrant and affecting Audience Award nominee from Glasgow Film Festival, 72-year-old Violeta proves that rebelliousness knows no age when finances threaten her newfound freedom.
In tropical Costa Rica, newly divorced Violeta is starting a new and exciting stage in her life. She takes up swimming lessons and rents out a room in her home to her instructor, a Mexican man with dreams of his own. But when she applies for a loan to turn her property into a boarding house, she discovers the bank is about to repossess it. But Violeta is an iconoclastic woman, willing to break the rules to hold onto her home and her freedom.
