A Macedonian folktale comes to life when farmer Nikola rescues an injured white stork from a landfill. With his family forced abroad by the growing pressures on rural life, Nikola is left behind - until the wounded bird, Silyan, gives him an unexpected companion. Inspired by a 17th-century legend, Oscar-nominated Honeyland director Tamara Kotevska weaves reality and magical realism into a visually rich story of survival, belonging and renewal.
