Synopsis
From legendary filmmaker Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Decision to Leave) comes the masterful and murderous, NO OTHER CHOICE, a slicing satirical black comedy based on Donald Westlake's acclaimed novel 'The Ax'. Winner of the TIFF International People’s Choice Award and sitting on a 100% Certified Fresh Rotten Tomatoes score, Park’s latest blood-soaked masterpiece features ‘Squid Game’ star Lee Byung-hun in "his most revelatory role to date" (Deadline). After being unemployed for several years, a man (Lee) devises a unique plan to secure a new job: eliminate his competition. Park packs every scene with a signature combination of rib-tickling macabre wit, sublime visual flair and meticulously executed storytelling to hammer home a devilishly entertaining and constantly shocking gut-punch to late-stage capitalism.

Reviews
"Deliriously entertaining."
- BBC
"With humour blacker than black bean noodles, the film is a masterful work of cinema which might well be Chan-wook’s masterpiece. And given this is the man who directed The Handmaiden that’s saying a lot."
- Time Out
"Sensational state-of-the-nation satire from Park Chan-wook."
- The Guardian
"Park’s filmmaking is as elegant as ever, in a wildly enjoyable picture that balances psychological tension against giddily hilarious comic set pieces."
- Screen Daily
