Synopsis

Ballet in three acts (1994) ‘What is love today?’ asked Angelin Preljocaj in 1994, when he created Le Parc for the Paris Opera Ballet. Thirty years later, his timeless, highly sensual creation has toured the world. Set in a French-style garden, the choreography evokes the seductive games of the Grand Siècle and Enlightenment, referencing Mozart and ‘Dangerous Liaisons’. Preljocaj breaks tradition with a modern soundtrack and a unique choreographic style. The final pas de deux, with its swirling, languorous kiss, has become the ballet’s signature moment.

Screens as part of the 2025/26 Palace Opera & Ballet Cinema Season.
