The Craft

We are the weirdos, mister. 30 years on and still full of angsty teen magic, director Andrew Fleming’s (Nancy Drew) cult supernatural-horror, THE CRAFT returns to cinemas with a hit filled alt-rock soundtrack. After transferring to a Los Angeles high school, Sarah (Robin Tunney) finds that her telekinetic gift appeals to a group of three wannabe witches, who happen to be seeking a fourth member for their rituals. Bonnie (Neve Campbell), Rochelle (Rachel True) and Nancy (Fairuza Balk), like Sarah herself, all have troubled backgrounds, which combined with their nascent powers lead to dangerous consequences. When a minor spell causes a fellow student to lose her hair, the girls grow power mad. Featuring an all-star cast, including Skeet Ulrich (Scream), Christine Taylor (Zoolander) and Breckin Meyer (Clueless), THE CRAFT is a multi-layered exploration of female empowerment, teenage alienation and the corruptive nature of power, filled with the ultimate 90s’ goth aesthetic (plenty of chokers, dark lipstick, plaid and combat boots).
