Synopsis
A moving portrait of adolescence, exploring grief and hope through the experience of a teenager, THE OTHER SON powerfully shows how life can be lived more intensely after a life-altering accident. Simon and his brother Federico (a magnetic Miguel González) live their teenage years to the fullest, until one day Simon is involved in a tragic accident at a party. While his family environment falls to pieces, Federico tries to live a normal life during the final weeks of his final year of high school. He starts to grow closer to Laura, his brother's ex-girlfriend, in whom he seems to find relief and comfort. Together, not only will their lives turn far from everything they imagined, but they will finally be able to begin the process of healing and self-discovery. An emotionally charged semi-autobiographical coming-of-age tale, THE OTHER SON is the feature film debut of promising Colombian talent Juan Sebastián Quebrada.
