Synopsis
The master of cerebral horror, David Cronenberg, returns with THE SHROUDS, a haunting and provocative new thriller starring Vincent Cassel (La Haine). Ruminating on the love within loss, this personal and peculiar Cannes-selected feature dares to ask: what if grief could be watched, measured, and monetised? Karsh is a prominent businessman. Inconsolable since the death of his wife, he invents GraveTech, revolutionary and controversial technology that enables the living to monitor their dear departed in their shrouds. One night, multiple graves, including that of Karsh’s wife, are desecrated. Karsh sets out to track down the perpetrators.
