Step into the unnerving nightmare of Leviticus, the haunting coming-of-age horror debut from Australian writer-director Adrian Chiarella. Experience it first at our Fright Night Preview!
Blending bone-chilling unease with human terror, Leviticus is set within an isolated Australian small town gripped by religious fanaticism and its devastating consequences for queer youth. Naim (Joe Bird, Talk to Me) and Ryan (Stacy Clausen) are two teenagers drawn together as they begin to explore their sexuality under the watchful eye of their deeply repressive community.
When their growing bond is discovered, a ritual is performed that unleashes a violent entity taking the form of each boy’s purest desire… each other. As fear, repression and supernatural terror collide, Leviticus becomes a ghostly and unsettling reinterpretation of conversion therapy, balancing moments of sensuality with bursts of visceral horror.
Featuring a standout performance from Mia Wasikowska, this haunting and heartbreaking nightmare lingers long after the lights come up.
