Bad Apples

How far would you go for a little peace and quiet? Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan (Blitz, The Outrun) leads BAD APPLES, a wickedly dark and deliciously twisted satire where one teacher discovers that a very bad decision can have surprisingly good consequences. Maria (Ronan) is a well-meaning primary school teacher struggling with one relentlessly disruptive student, Danny. With her classroom spiralling out of control and little support around her, an increasingly desperate Maria makes a series of questionable choices that somehow end with Danny locked inside her home… Horrified by what she’s done, Maria plans to put things right. There’s just one problem: without Danny, her classroom begins to flourish. The students are happier, the parents are thrilled and suddenly everyone thinks Maria is doing an exceptional job. Also starring Jacob Anderson, Rakie Ayola and Robert Emms (The Choral), BAD APPLES is deliciously uncomfortable and increasingly twisted, turning one impossible predicament into a sharp examination of how easily doing the wrong thing can start to feel right.
