BFF26 Tender Loving Care

From multi award-winning writer-director Mike Leigh (Hard Truths BFF24) comes the beautifully uplifting drama TENDER LOVING CARE, a bittersweet yet hopeful celebration of life that examines the complexities of ageing, family, and learning to embrace life’s inevitable changes. Amy (Kate O’Flynn, Widow’s Bay) is a devoted social worker who puts her heart and soul into her job to care for those in need. However, at home she finds herself confronting new challenges as her beloved father begins to experience health issues, forcing Amy and her mother to confront and make peace with their new reality. Through it all, Amy finds comfort, perspective, and plenty of laughter with her lifelong friend Rosie (Alice Bailey Johnson), who becomes a vital anchor as both women navigate the shifting rhythms of life. A deeply poignant portrait of resilience, compassion and love, Leigh beautifully captures the quiet moments, awkward conversations, and small acts of kindness that define our relationships, once again finding the extraordinary within the ordinary.
