BFF26 The Three Urns

Set along the beautiful and striking landscapes of the northwest coast of Donegal, Ireland, and starring Ciarán Hinds (Belfast), this is a delightful comedic drama from directors and co-writers John-Paul Davidson and Stephen Warbeck (The Man in The Hat). Having lived in France for decades, Mr. O’Connor (Hinds) sets out on a pilgrimage to his home country to scatter his late wife's ashes. Inspired by a letter she wrote encouraging him to reconnect with his family, he travels to Ireland. On his journey full of playful misadventures and serendipitous encounters, he stumbles upon a cohort of colourful characters, including a Lithuanian painter, an itinerant priest, horse whisperers, and a group of mystic women at the ancient Beltany Stone Circle. He visits his brother, who still runs the family dairy farm, whilst being followed by a mysterious Woman in Black (Olga Kurylenko, Quantum of Solace) in an electric car. With Irish hospitality at its heart, THE THREE URNS is a warm, charming and funny look at reconnection and exploration.
