Witness the beginning of a beautiful friendship in this charming, surreal comedy about the power of companionship. Meet Brian (comedian David Earl) a lonely inventor living in a remote valley in North Wales. Although the isolation does not appear to bother him, he spends most of his reclusive life creating bizarre objects that nobody wants.
One day, Brian builds Charles. Comprised of an old washing machine and a mannequin head, the robotic machine is a peculiar construction resembling a studious senior gentleman. After initially failing to activate, Brian returns home one fateful evening to discover that Charles is not only working but has surpassed all expectations. That is when then the fun really starts.
Filmed in a mockumentary style, this imaginative premise offers a humorous and heart-warming story about friendship, family and finding love. Delivered with a pitch perfect sense of dry English wit balanced with a sense of whimsy, it is a classic odd couple adventure that computes.
