Synopsis

From famed, absurdist director Quentin Dupieux comes his latest outrageous film - SMOKING CAUSES COUGHING, a hilarious cautionary tale like you’ve never seen it before. Larger than life and wickedly funny - when disaster suddenly strikes, who better to save the day than a domineering puppet rat and his band of violent, unhinged superheroes?

Meet the Tobacco Force, individually named as such - Nicotine, Benzène, Méthanol, Ammoniaque and Mercure have been sent off to a retreat by their leader. Sensing a disconnect among the heroes, the retreat should be the perfect opportunity for them to recharge, and reconnect – that is until they catch wind of a plot to end the world. Together the force must battle it out in a ridiculous plight for peace, where there will be stunts, blood, comical villains and plenty of lycra.

With a knockout ensemble cast including Gilles Lellouche (Farewell, Mr. Haffman, AF FFF22), Anaïs Demoustier (Anaïs in Love, AF FFF22) and Adèle Exarchopoulos (Mandibles, AF FFF21) – indulge in a film that is as ridiculous as it is witty, a reminder to not take life or any of its enormous curve balls too seriously.
