Synopsis

Actor Edoardo Leo (also in Breaking Up in Rome) roams the streets of his native Rome with a new perspective on the city that almost died many times and each time was re-founded, regenerating from its own ashes and creating the Western World from Roman heritage.

Tracing the birth of the Roman Empire, from the imperial creation of Augustus to the madness of Nero; from the chaotic terraces of the Colosseum to the architectural harmonies of Hadrian's Villa; from the dream of Constantine to the anguish of Marcus Aurelius, the documentary charts the marvels of the city and its history.
