A unique and modern love story, Four Little Adults is a touching relationship drama about a middle-aged couple who decide to enter the complex world of polyamory.
Approaching their 50s, Juulia (a beguiling Alma Poysti, Tove SCA21, also in Fallen Leaves) is a successful Member of Parliament with a seemingly perfect marriage to her priest husband Matias (Eero Milonoff, Border SCA18).
But when Juulia finds out Matias has been having a year-long affair with Enni (Oona Airola, The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki), their happy life implodes. To save her marriage, Juulia invites Enni to be a part of their lives, and they start a polyamorous relationship. Enni is grateful for Juulia’s open-mindedness and is willing to explore a new way of life, but Matias is hesitant. Yet as their love triangle becomes a square and love abounds between them, challenges remain.
The third fiction feature from Finnish filmmaker Selma Vilhunen, Four Little Adults offers a sharp, sexy, funny and heartbreaking view into contemporary love and relationships.
