Thirty years ago, Carlos (Darío Grandinetti, also in A Singular Crime) and Margarita (Mercedes Morán, also in The Broken Land) were the most famous tango couple in the world. Today, little remains of that passion in their lives. Carlos now lives in Madrid, enjoying a second chance at life, and Margarita lives in Buenos Aires immersed in solitude.
A sudden event forces the couple to reunite and commence a journey along the roads of Argentina to the foot of the Andes, together with their longtime friend Pichuquito (Jorge Marrale).
As the unexpected road trip is set in motion, resentments surface and old flames are rekindled. Passing through stunning landscapes, but not abandoning their humour and passion for dance, they are forced to face their memories, their fears, and above all, their true desires.
