Pentridge Open-Air Cinema

Pentridge Open-Air outdoor cinema returns this Summer from 15 December 2022 – 26 March 2023 in Coburg’s Pentridge Precinct. Join us for an exceptional outdoor cinematic experience of the biggest global releases and hand-picked retro films under the summer night sky in a striking locale!

TIMINGS
7:30pm Gates Open Palace Pop-Up Bar with Trivia Events + Costume Prizes + Live Music for select sessions
8:30pm (approx.) Film Screening

PALACE POP-UP BAR
Drinks and snacks will be flowing from the Palace Pop-Up Bar from the moment gates open at 7:30pm. Be sure to arrive early to save a deck chair, stock up on your favourite beverages and settle in for a beautiful evening. Plus, we’ll be hosting special pre-screening events with trivia, costume competitions and live music on select sessions!

The historic 1850s bluestone walls of Pentridge will surround you, taking on new forms and shadows as the sun dissolves and the stars appear in the sky ready for the film to begin. The perfect setting for an unforgettable evening.

BYO food and picnic is allowed, however, strictly no BYO alcohol.

WEATHER PRECAUTIONS
In the event of extreme weather, sessions may be cancelled. For updates on your session, please check your email/check the website/check social/call Pentridge Cinema. If the session is cancelled you will be provided with a refund or ticket exchange for another session of your choice.

Melbourne’s weather is unpredictable! So make sure you bring warm clothes and a blanket to keep you comfortable in case of cool temperatures or sudden drops. A limited number of blankets will also be available to hire at the bar for $4.
