Over 2022/23, an astonishing 13 productions – seven operas and six ballets – from The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera will be broadcast to more than 1,300 cinemas around the world, including Australia where the program is exclusive to Palace Cinemas venues nationally.
This is the ROH’s biggest season yet and features popular classics alongside highly anticipated new productions. With an international roster of opera stars, and for the first time ever, two opening night live broadcasts: the ballets Mayerling and The Royal Ballet: A Diamond Celebration, the ROH 2022-23 Cinema Season promises to be a fantastic experience for fans of opera and ballet alike.
The programme has brought stunning productions to audiences across the globe since 2008. Broadcasts offer audiences the best seat in the house for each performance, and include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and insights into the rehearsal process.
