“An incisive commentary on women in the workplace…” – Hollywood Reporter
“[It] does for a gang of New Yawk bad girls what Goodfellas did for the mob…adapted by writer-director Lorene Scafaria at her most Scorsese.” – Variety
“Hustlers soon blossoms into the kind of snappy sendup producer Adam McKay might make, with a deft and definite feminine touch.” – IndieWire
Inspired by the article published by New York Magazine entitled “The Hustlers at Scores” written by Jessica Pressler, HUSTLERS follows Destiny (Constance Wu), a stripper working to make ends meet. Destiny’s life changes forever when she becomes friends with Ramona (Jennifer Lopez) — the club’s top money earner. Ramona soon shows Destiny how to finagle her way around the wealthy Wall Street clientele who frequent the club. But when the 2008 economic collapse cuts into their profits, the gals and two other dancers devise a daring scheme to take their lives back.
