Westgarth 101

From October 15, Palace Westgarth will be presenting Westgarth 101! In celebration of 101 years of our iconic Westgarth location, we’ve curated a selection of ten quintessential films from every decade from the 1930s until the 2020s to show throughout the cinema’s birth month! Westgarth 101 will begin its epic journey through time and classic cinema with a trip down the yellow brick road for a showing of the beloved ’30s classic, The Wizard of Oz on October 15.

For the last hoorah, on Wednesday, October 26 the birthday celebrations will conclude with a screening of the magnificent ode to nature and 2021 Cannes Film Festival Official Selection, The Velvet Queen. Enjoy a glass of prosecco on arrival before witnessing the awe-inspiring documentary that brings the mythic snow leopard to life on the big screen.
