Synopsis

Have you ever let your anxiety get the better of you? For Louise (Marina Foïs, Savages, AF FFF20), anxiety drives every aspect of her life, including her own car… After a traumatic separation and a series of terrible luck, Louise is struck with another bad omen, a parking fine. After a desperate hunt to find a new spot, she parks the car, swinging open the door – preparing to step out onto the concrete below her, except she cannot. With no physical barrier confining her, she comes to realise to her own horror and frustration, that the only thing stopping her from leaving the car is her own mind. After terrible panic and confusion, she is suddenly awoken from her flurry of anxiety when Paul (Benjamin Voisin, Man Up, AF FFF21) breaks into her car. With Louise unable to move and Paul desperate to get to the South West coast – the two decide to take the mission together, embarking on their most chaotic road trip yet, as an unlikely friendship begins to blossom.

Unexpectedly touching, FREESTYLE closes the festival on a high note, sharing tears, laughs and sublime joy as Paul and Louise learn to overcome their anxieties and trust in the power of love and friendship again.
