An entertaining new comedy from Antonio Galdamez about a married couple on the verge of divorce presented with an unexpected chance to experience a day-in-the-life as one another.
What if you could learn what it is like to be, literally, in your partner’s shoes? Kasia and Krzysiek are a married couple in their early 30s, raising their 6-year-old son Tadzio. Overwhelmed by the daily responsibilities of working parents they fail to notice how their marriage is drifting apart until it is almost too late. Krzysiek works long hours at a corporate job neglecting his family. Kasia toils away at a kindergarten while also taking care of their son and home, at the same time not looking well after herself. Frustrated and constantly quarrelling spouses finally end up in marriage therapy but it doesn’t seem to help. Just when they decide to divorce, fate turns their lives completely upside down giving them a chance to see their problems from a new perspective when they mysteriously switch bodies. Through the process of trying to return to their previous selves they learn a lot of good and bad about one other.
“If I were you” is a bold comedy about the challenges of keeping afloat a marriage that teaches us how the most important thing in any relationship is communication and empathy.

"A well-conducted intrigue, a well-chosen cast that plays with a nice comedic flair, but does not go to extremes or exaggeration. In addition, there were well-placed dramatic accents, some proven jokes, nicely filmed interiors and nicely dressed, but characteristic characters, quick editing and generally pleasant atmosphere."
