A passionate drama inspired by true events from internationally acclaimed director Björn Runge (The Wife), Burn All My Letters sees a fiery love affair lead to unexpected consequences.
Adapted from Swedish author Alex Schulman’s lauded semi-autobiographical novel of the same name, this captivating love story spanning generations centres around Karin Stolpe (Asta Kamma August, The Pact SCA22). In the 1930s, the film depicts her complex relationship with her author Sven Stolpe (Bill Skarsgård, It: Chapter 1 & 2) and her passionate love affair with promising writer Olof Lagercrantz (Gustav Lindh, Riders of Justice, The Northman) and how her choices affect the future generations to come. When her grandson finds a pile of letters from the time, questions are raised about the secret affair and its impact on later events.
Weaving together three perspectives, Burn All My Letters is a story of love and tragedy that shows how passion, jealousy, and anger can create a ripple effect that is felt over decades and generations.
