Palace Raine Square

Exploring Palace Cinemas eclectic venues around the country

One of our newer sites around the country, and Palace’s first standalone foray into Western Australia, Palace Raine Square threw its doors open to a night of razzle and dazzle on the 17th September 2018, premiering the very fitting comedy/ drama Ladies in Black. Telling the story of a group of department store workers in 1959 Australia, the film set the scene for a new, more luxurious era of cinema in the heart of Perth, as well as paying homage to the history of Raine Square, which has been a shopping and entertainment precinct for well over 150 years.

Surrounded by shopping on Murray Street and the nightlife at Yagan Square, Raine Square is at the centre of an old-meets-new shopping and dining district. Channelling this chic and bustling vibe, the cinema feels like a calm oasis in the middle of the city through a sophisticated, yet welcoming venue that is more reminiscent of a late-night cocktail lounge than a cinema.

Featuring 9 traditional and 4 Platinum cinemas, as well as four bars and lounges, audiences have been indulging in not just films, but live comedy and theatre as well. Palace Raine Square has become one of our highest attended sites in the country, with the following films placing in the top 10 since opening.
