Dear Loyal Patrons of Palace Verona…

30 November

When one door closes…

A letter from Palace Cinemas.

Dear Loyal Patrons of Palace Verona,

It is with a blend of nostalgia and excitement that I share some important news about the future of Palace Verona.

After many cherished years in Paddington, we are embarking on a new chapter for the Palace Verona community as our lease at the iconic site comes to an end on January 31, 2024, due to new building management and redevelopment. Your unwavering loyalty has made Palace Verona more than just a cinema – it’s been a community, a gathering place, and a haven for film enthusiasts for over 27 years.

Almost immediately from early February, the vibrant entertainment quarter at Moore Park will be home to Palace Moore Park, just a stone’s throw away from Paddington. It will be exclusively dedicated to arthouse and international cinema, continuing the legacy of Palace Verona and serving as the hub for Palace Cinemas’ extensive Festival programming in the City and Eastern Suburbs. The move to Palace Moore Park improves our offering with ample parking, extensive public transport options including light-rail accessibility, dining choices and an overall enhanced cinematic experience with larger screens and additional seating capacity.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the countless memories created at Palace Verona. Your patronage has been the driving force behind our passion for cinema, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home at the Entertainment Quarter.

As we bid farewell to the iconic Paddington location, we invite you to join us in celebrating the rich history of Palace Verona over the next two months with an abundance of brilliant new films screening over the holiday season to enjoy including Yorgos Lanthimos’ awards season contender Poor Things;  the wildly entertaining all-star comedy Two Tickets to Greece (with Dec 10 Gala Previews on sale now!); Sofia Coppola’s award-winning biopic Priscilla; the deeply moving drama All of Us Strangers, starring Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal & so many more. Stay tuned for more details about Closing Night events for Verona and Opening celebrations at Moore Park in the new year.

Your continued support means the world to us, and we are committed to ensuring that the spirit of Palace Verona lives on. Thank you for being an integral part of the Palace Cinemas family. We look forward to creating many more unforgettable moments with you at Palace Moore Park.

Warmest regards,

Benjamin Zeccola
