From Emmy award-winning director Mark Mylod (Succession, Game of Thrones), comes the stomach-churning horror, The Menu with delectable slices of dark humour. The ‘painstakingly prepared’ film will feature unmissable performances from Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy, Emmy nominee Nicholas Hoult and English acting royalty Ralph Fiennes.
Mylod may have a relatively limited experience directing feature films, but he has cooked up an impressive array of directorial credits working on critically and commercially loved television shows including the HBO fantasy giant Game of Thrones and a lengthy stint on the Emmy Award-winning drama series Succession.
A young, wealthy yet failing couple Margot and Tyler (Taylor-Joy and Hoult) attempt to spice up their relationship with a lavish date night at an exclusive restaurant on a remote island. However, the luxurious night away starts to sour when famed head chef Slowick (Fiennes) serves up some less than appetising surprises… Just how much can the doomed diners stomach?
The psychological thriller is shockingly addictive with a wonderfully terrifying performance from Fiennes as the cult-leaderesque head chef, and similarly brilliant portrayals from Taylor-Joy and Hoult as the receivers of his ominous degustation.
